Policies


CE are administered on an hourly basis. Late arrivals/early departures will have their CE certificated attenuated accordingly.

Updates in Clinical Dentistry reserves the right to close registration when an enrollment limit is reached and to cancel, modify, or alter content or speakers for any course if circumstances necessitate such a change. If we find it necessary to cancel a course, a full refund will be granted. All attempts to contact registrants will be made as soon as possible in the event of a course cancellation.

In the event of inclement weather (such as a snow emergency) or other extenuating circumstances, Updates in Clinical Dentistry may be forced to cancel a course. If a course has been canceled, we will contact participants by the phone number and/or email address provided. You may call or email our office on the day of the course if you are uncertain of a course’s status.

Registration Cancellation Policy
  • All registration cancellations and changes require written notification to conference organizers at dental.events@conexiant.com
  • Cancellation: A full refund will be granted to those cancelling (by telephone or email) 48 or more hours in advance of the event. Updates in Clinical Dentistry will not be held responsible for any losses due to travel arrangements made by the registrant.

Be Well Policy and Liability Waiver

As a condition of my participation in this meeting or event, I hereby waive any claim I may have against Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld, and its parent company Conexiant Dental, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, and release Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld, and its parent company Conexiant Dental and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all liability for damage or injury that may arise from my participation or attendance at the program. I acknowledge that traveling to and in-person participation in Updates in Clinical Dentistry events and activities brings some risk, and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being. If another individual participates in my place per Updates in Clinical Dentistry transfer policy, the new registrant agrees to this disclaimer and waiver


I understand that travel and gathering involves risk of sickness, including sickness from COVID-19. I waive and release Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld, and its parent company Conexiant Dental, their sponsors and exhibitors, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against claims, liabilities and expenses arising from injury, sickness or death from contraction or spread of COVID-19 or other communicable disease due to travel to or attendance at an event sponsored by Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld, and its parent company Conexiant Dental.

I will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask when requested and/or required, minimizing face touching, frequently washing hands and avoiding risky environments such as overcrowded bars or restaurants. I agree to not attend any Updates in Clinical Dentistry exhibiting symptoms of, COVID-19.

This waiver and release is binding on me and my heirs and successors.

Code of Conduct, Safety, and Responsibility

CDEWorld and Updates in Clinical Dentistry are committed to providing a safe, professional, and welcoming meeting environment for all participants. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, exhibitors, supporters, staff, service providers, and others are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct Policy. This Policy applies to all components of Updates in Clinical Dentistry, including those sponsored by organizations other than Updates in Clinical Dentistry but held in conjunction with the meeting.

Nondiscrimination and Harassment Policy
Updates in Clinical Dentistry advocates a positive culture of inclusion and respect for the dignity of each individual. Updates in Clinical Dentistry has zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment on the basis of an individual’s race, age, religion, creed, color, ancestry, citizenship, national or ethnic origin, disability, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical appearance, or any other classification protected by applicable local, state, or federal law.

Expected Behavior

  • Treat others with respect, inclusivity, and consideration, recognizing that this event is a place for diversity of thought, organization, and individuals.
  • Communicate openly with respect for others, avoiding personal attacks.
  • Wear your event badge at all times. (Live events)
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and others. Alert event staff if you notice any discriminatory, harassing, aggressive, or exclusionary behavior or speech as soon as possible.
  • Respect the rules and policies of the meeting venue, hotel, Updates in Clinical Dentistry contracted facility, or any other associated venue or site.

Unacceptable Behavior
Updates in Clinical Dentistry defines unacceptable behavior in the following ways, including but not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation or discrimination in any form is not tolerated.
  • Physical or verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, staff, service provider, or other meeting guest will not be tolerated.
  • Verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, and national origin.
  • Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations.
  • Threatening or stalking of any meeting participant.
  • Disruption of sessions, in the exhibit hall or at other events organized by Updates in Clinical Dentistry at the meeting venue, hotel, Updates in Clinical Dentistry contracted facility, or other associated venue or site, is not allowed.
  • Soliciting business of any kind that is outside of the exhibit and/or through any other communication tools provided throughout the meeting.

Any participant who feels unsafe or experiences unwelcome conduct, observes or experiences unacceptable behavior, or believes there has been a violation of this Policy is encouraged to report the incident immediately an Event Staff member so that the appropriate action can be taken. No concern is too small—if you see or hear something, we encourage you to say something.

Consequences of Reported Unacceptable Behavior
Updates in Clinical Dentistry reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, including the immediate removal of the offending party from the meeting without warning or refund. Updates in Clinical Dentistry also reserves the right to prohibit the offending party’s attendance at any future virtual or in-person meetings.

No Smoking Policy
Updates in Clinical Dentistry is a smoke free event.

Personal Data Security
Updates in Clinical Dentistry work diligently to provide a comfortable and secure environment during the registration process and meeting. We are committed to ensuring the personal data of all conference participants is encrypted and secure.

Photography, Videography, and Audio Recordings of Sessions
Photos, videos, and audio recordings may not be taken during the presentations without permission from the speaker. Reproducing and distributing session content is strictly prohibited.

Please note Updates in Clinical Dentistry reserves the right to modify or revise this policy at any time with or without notice. In the event of an emergency, please contact local authorities immediately.

Medical Information Disclaimer

Discussions, views, opinions, and recommendations as to medical procedures, and products are the responsibility of Updates in Clinical Dentistry or supporters. CDEWorld, and its parent company Conexiant Dental, and their respective employees, officers, and agents, accept no liability whatsoever for the consequences of any inaccurate or misleading data, opinion, or statement. Because of rapid advances in the medical sciences, new methods and techniques described during this activity should be followed only in conjunction with the manufacturer's own published literature.

By registering for and participating in Updates in Clinical Dentistry, your personal data will be collected by the conference organizer and potentially shared with technology partners, and CDEWorld for the purposes of (but not limited to) marketing, online leads, emails, and/or awarding of continuing education (CE) credits where applicable.

Media Waiver

When you attend an Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By attending the event, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld and its affiliates and representatives. You release Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld, and its parent company Conexiant Dental, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings.

By attending the event, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld or the person or entity designated to do so by Updates in Clinical Dentistry, CDEWorld. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.
