Mr. Daniel Alter MSc, MDT, CDT

Daniel Alter is a respected dental technologist, educator, and consultant with extensive experience in restorative dentistry and dental laboratory technology. Formerly the owner of a high-end commercial dental laboratory in Long Island, NY, he has worked with leading dental practitioners and specialists throughout his career.

Since joining the faculty of New York City College of Technology's Restorative Dentistry Department in 2008, Daniel has taught courses in tooth morphology, crown and bridge, ceramics, metallurgy, and dentures. His areas of expertise include tooth morphology, gnathology, CAD/CAM, implantology, and ceramics, with ongoing research focused on emerging technologies in dental laboratory science.

Daniel is an approved Infection Control lecturer for the National Board for Certification, serves on the editorial boards of Inside Dental Technology and AEGIS, and advises the Greater New York Certified Dental Technologist Study Group. He is also a published author, speaker, trainer, business consultant, and member of both the American Dental Educators Association and the American Society of Master Dental Technologists.
